Remit 6

Remit 6 is a vote on a remit to add some or all three statements of faith documents to the doctrine area of the United Church's Basis of Union.

In effect, this is a referendum to amend the United Church's constitution.

The remits are asking us to add

• the 1940 Statement of Faith,
• A New Creed, and
• A Song of Faith

to the doctrine section of our Basis of Union.

The Joint Board of the Osgoode-Kars Pastoral Charge will vote on the Remit at the April meeting. If you are interested in the issue, please refer to the resources below:
